These are some concept screenshots for an Idle Game concept I’m working on.
Initially this started as a way to explore how I wanted to structure the screen and the player interactions, but I got a bit carried away.
I don’t think I will do with this exact style, but I wanted to something that evokes the old console JRPGs that influence my game’s design.
The party frame, in most MMOs, displays whenever the player is in a group with other players. The problem is that, FF14’s version is a bit of a mess, and it’s only gotten worse with time. So let’s look at ways that we could overhaul FF14’s party frame with a more modern, usable design.
Sekiro is a great game, but it asks a lot of its players, and offers basically nothing in return to those who can’t play at an expert level, which is a shame! So let’s look at some solutions that would make Sekiro more playable, especially for those with disabilities or external factors limiting their ability to play the game in its current form.
Red Dead Redemption II has some big issues with it’s UX, and so, I decided to try my hand at redesigning a nice self-contained area of the game, with no real repercussions on anything else that would need to be addressed. Hence, we have a complete overhaul of the Pause Menu.
